Forever Loving Jah - Really???

First let me make one thing perfectly clear... I love Bob Marley's music. That said... by all accounts he subscribed to/remained a follower of Rastafarian beliefs.

While only Bob would know for certain the meaning of the lyrics of this song, I find it rather surprising that one of Bob's songs would end up on the Word to Worship song list. True the lyrics Christians could apply to our love/worship of God and the Trinity, when you factor in the Rastafarian beliefs and influences, I would consider it questionable, at best, as a Judaeo-Christian worship song.

My sincere apology if I have offended anyone by objecting to this, but felt strongly enough to post a comment.

Thank you for sharing. I'm conflicted on this topic. The site policy is that "All songs should be written or adaptable for a contemporary Christian worship setting." To me, that could even include some secular songs that can be viewed from a Christian perspective or emphasize a Christian message. For these, the poster appears to think they fit, even including scripture references and tags such as Gospel, Victory, and Unity. I don't want to be too restrictive just because a song doesn't fit my experience, however, I want this site to remain helpful and not too cluttered with songs the vast majority won't consider.

For the near term, I'd appreciate any feedback on the best policy for this community and encourage anyone to post here or use the feedback form to message me directly. I'll consider removing any songs users specifically object to but won't yet do any mass removals or reviews.

Going forward, I'll consider trying to clear up the policy about wanting to focus on Christian theology and look into adding an easy way for users to flag for review any songs they find objectionable (for any reason).

Thanks for taking the time to share your concerns.
