We now have the Revised Common Lectionary (RCL) and welcome our many Anglican, Baptist, Episcopal, Lutheran, Methodist, Presbyterian, and Reformed friends around the world who follow it.
The RCL was published in 1994 and adopted by many church bodies across the globe. It follows a three-year cycle with readings for each Sunday of the liturgical church year from the season of Advent through Pentecost. The Church has used lectionaries since the fourth century and the RCL is based on the Catholic lectionary created in the 1960s.
I'm excited to broaden WordToWorship's applicability beyond my own church body. Please let me know any other ways you think W2W can be improved to better serve worship planners to God's glory.
